Today, the first Public Value Atlas for Germany was published. The Atlas presents the public value contributions of 127 German and international organizations, and ranks them. The winner is the fire brigade with the largest public value contribution. “THW” and “Weisser Ring” gained second and third position, respectively. Professor Meynhardt, managing director of the Center for Leadership and Values in Society, which conducted the study, remarked:
The social debate on public value often lacks a sound data base. A rarely posed question is: What makes an organization valuable for society from the population’s perspective? The Public Value Atlas supplies an overview of the public value contribution of important German and international organizations - this is a first.
